the hour of decision

Each of us surely has unique goals and aspirations. We hope to achieve these at some point in our lives. Though without ever making a decision to start on that path toward accomplishing our desires, we will never arrive at our goals. It is important to make decisions that will drive our careers and our lives. Without them we blindly work to accomplish nebulous hopes. Michael Jordan would never have become a world-class basketball player without setting definitive goals. He discusses his efforts to become a starter on his varsity high school basketball team which turned out to be wildly successful for him. Similarly, almost anyone who has achieved something great or noteworthy got there by envisioning it and setting a personal goal. We don’t know the future of our professional careers but without making plans to become something we might not become much of anything.
