The value of a single BitCoin recently equaled the price of one pound of gold. If you search on Google about BitCoins though, you will quickly find out that it has many critics. I am not trying to make a political statement by saying that the idea of digital currency intrigues me. While BitCoin may not be the answer to a widely accepted digital currency, it has caught the interest of millions. More and more people will hear the words I heard the other day, as I was standing in a checkout line, “I’m sorry, we don’t accept cash.” Cash is imprecise . People lose it and don’t want to go to the bank to get more of it. It is also inconvenient to carry around a big wallet, a bulky phone and bulging keys. Having everything contained within a single device such as a smart phone could make financial interactions much easier. I would love never needing another reason to carry around cash.
